I have worked as Treasurer for the past two years and am looking forward to playing that part again. Last June, I started a new venture by acquiring “Ding-a-lings”. I am always thinking of new ideas for the community
I've been residing in Kingston for the last 20 years. I feel incredibly humble and blessed to run a successful business in Kingston. I am also working at the CIBC Bank. I have witnessed the Pakistani community to grow from the side lines. As I get older, I am starting to realize how important it is to lead by example for my kids. How to incorporate and balance personal life, work life & community work. Really excited to learn new things with this exciting new opportunity and to grow and develop our Pakistani Kingston community.

Canada is a beautiful country that has given us the freedom to practice and retain our culture as well as avail a myriad of opportunities. We, as Pakistani Canadians have access to opportunities that we never had while we were growing up. By keeping our minds open we begin to learn about other cultures, creating respect for one another as well as expanding our own horizon. As an Educator, it is vital for us to be culturally aware so that we can help break down cultural barriers. This is extremely important if we want our children to feel comfortable in themselves. Ronika has also been helping making women aware of their strengths, to empower themselves and to become independent thinkers. Aa an organisation, the focus is to help preserve, protect, and promote the strengths and experiences of the Pakistani culture and heritage. To integrate into the Canadian tapestry so that while we retain our roots, we also become a reason for being a part of Canada’s rich culture. She is very happy to be working with a fine dynamic team who are progressive in their thinking, are proactive and above all very motivated.

I am very passionate about our roots in Pakistan and a firm believer that we have a responsibility as Pakistani Canadians to represent our community in the best way and be a great ambassador of our rich culture and values. I am grateful to the community for giving me this opportunity to manifest my passion and be part of this dynamic team. Looking forward to great teamwork, insha Allah.
